I have had the Garmin nuvi 295w for about 3 weeks now, and have used it on 2 different trips. The reason that I purchased this unit was because I wanted:
1. A 2nd GPS, so that my wife and I could each have one to use at the same time in different vehicles. We already own a Magellan Maestro 3140 GPS, which I really like.
2. Portable MP3 Player
3. Portable Wi-Fi Web Browsing. We already own an Ipod Touch v2, but I wanted a 2nd device that did not cost as much or have a subscription (I got this Garmin for $85 on Amazon).
4. A unit that can fit in your hand well, like a smart phone
